Waste Minimisation

At a large public sector organisation we project managed a large scale waste minimisation based activity involving a comprehensive training, communication campaigns and IT management. The project reduced waste by 40% leading to £1.6 million annual savings.

At a large University we increased recycling levels from 26 to 60% over a 6 month period, realising annual savings of £40K.

We implemented an online reuse system which diverted 17,156Kg of equipment from landfill saving 100K in 2009/10.

Communication campaigns

We project managed a training and communication campaign to 35,000 households. This activity saved annually approx £308,000 and 7920 tonnes of waste from landfill.

Contract management

In the first half of 2009/10 financial year we renegotiated two public sector waste management contracts, saving £80K and increasing recycling by 30%.

We successfully managed a partnership of 9 councils delivering waste awareness campaigns saving £100,000 per year, which was then held up as best practice in the region.

We were responsible for bringing £1/4 million in external funding into an environmental improvement programme for a large public sector organisation.

Training and communications

We have implemented and delivered training courses and set up monitoring systems to ISO14001 standards at various organisations.
